Life is a journey

Life is a journey.

I have been traveling quite a bit with the Army lately, it is rare. I am lucky and grateful, as a result I have not been consistent with my photography blog. Since life is a journey and a work in progress I will take you back in time a bit to catch you up on my journey.

I spent a couple of weeks traveling to Savannah Georgia and surrounding areas to document an event known as Sentry Savannah 2015  with one of my many favorite NCOs. The mission on this day was to document a refueling training exercise at 20,000 feet with F-22s and F-16s. I was aboard a C-130 with an experienced flight crew based out of Tennessee. The "trigger" has been flying for just over 20 years, so he let me push my way into his view and I ended up laying on him in various odd angles to capture some of these images.

We awoke early without much sleep from the night before because of a night time downed pilot training exercise we documented. Only one of us was allowed aboard the C-130 and my NCOIC let me catch this flight.

It was cold and bright in the air, I ended up with some overexposed and slightly blurry images but, I also ended up with some that I will love for many years to come.

Wherever life takes you on your journey, please remember to have fun, stay positive and learn something from your mistakes. As I learned how to properly brace myself even steadier with a camera at 20,000 in the air.
