Life is better with a buddy

I think life in general is better with a buddy, but I think it is better and crucial in the military for many, many reasons including Combat Camera.

While traveling and documenting a mission known as Sentry Savannah 2015 (see my previous blog for more information) the NCOIC and I separated one morning to catch more missions, working alone is not uncommon in our MOS of 25V. After a lovely breakfast of fried chicken (my obsession every time I am in Georgia) I reported back to Townsend Bombing Range on Feb. 12, 2015.

For those of you who may not know me very well, or at all... I can easily and happily talk to anyone about anything at anytime. This has pros and cons, mostly pros ;) In this case, well,

I quite literally bumped into an Airmen attached to The Air National Guard’s 113th Security Forces Wing, located in D.C.. Since, I start conversations easily and quickly, I discovered they were conducting training with the M-240B and M-203 weapon systems and qualifying. He invited me to join his unit to document..... and qualify with them, they had plenty of ammo!  It was a lovely afternoon and a successful mission.

The Army journalist I met for breakfast, my new buddy, also joined us and captured some images of me!
